Accountant required in USA
The primary purpose of this position is to reconcile accounts held in Chapel Hill Foundation Real Estate Holdings, Inc. (Foundation), prepare financial statements and provide supporting documentation for the Foundation?s annual audit, and assist the Investment Unit with meeting its goals and objectives. Among the position?s primary duties are the following:- Record, reconcile and research accounting transactions and activities of Chapel Hill Foundation Real Estate Holdings, Inc.
- Prepare annual financial statements for Chapel Hill Foundation Real Estate Holdings, Inc.
- Assist with annual audit of the Foundation and provide supporting documentation as needed.
- Collaborate with external accounting management firm to ensure Foundation accounting transactions and balance sheet items are properly recorded.
- Record and reconcile UNC-Chapel Hill?s Planned Giving Assets.
- Create new sources and fund authorities for University associated entities.
- Prepare property tax listing for Granville Towers.
- Prepare 1099-Miscellaneous forms for UNC-Chapel Hill Foundation and Chapel Hill Investment Fund and Chapel Hill Foundation Real Estate Holdings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 12 credit hours of accounting coursework; or Associate's degree in accounting; or Associate's degree in business or related discipline with 12 credit hours of accounting coursework; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
